Afternoon Tea with Robert Harris, Jarrolds, Wednesday September 20, 2.30pm, £30-£40
Best selling author Robert Harris will be at Jarrolds on Wednesday ahead of the release of his new book, Munich - a spy thriller set against the backdrop of the Munich Conference in September 1938. Go along to enjoy a traditional afternoon tea and hear from Harris, who will then be available to answer questions and sign books.
An Evening with Chef Galton Blackiston, Jarrolds, Wednesday September 20, 6pm, £7
If you're more interested in cooking than historical fiction, then an evening with Michelin-starred chef Galton Blackiston is not to be missed. Known from his regular appearances on BBC TV's Saturday Kitchen and as a finalist on The Great British Menu, Blackiston is also well known in Norfolk for running the Morston Hall hotel and restaurant on the north Norfolk coast, as well as the popular No. 1 fish restaurant in Cromer. He'll be launching his latest cookbook, Hook Line Sinker, packed with fish and seafood recipes.
FABBA presents Snow White, St George's Theatre, September 21-22, 7.30pm, £7-£8
Fabba Theatre Company brings you their unique spin on the classic story of Snow White. When the Evil Queen's truth telling mirror starts spouting nonsense about someone who is even fairer then her, she decides to take matters into her own hands and deal with this young Snow White herself. Expect plenty of laughs and a lot of energy from this theatre company for adults with disabilities.
Wymondham Abbey Food and Drink Festival, Saturday September 23, 10am-5pm, free entry
With an emphasis on vegan and vegetarian food, this food and drink festival promises a huge range of events and activities. Come along for local producers, demonstrations, pop-up cafes and more. There's plenty for all the family, with bouncy castles and face painting. If you're a keen foodie, you can even enter the cake-making or veg-growing competitions.
Charity Walk and Run, Somerleyton Hall, Sunday September 24, 9am-3pm, £20 for runners, £10 for walkers
Take a 10km run or a 5km walk around the beautiful grounds of Somerleyton Hall for British Red Cross. This is the last weekend the hall will be open to the public this year so don't miss the last chance to see the beautiful gardens and experience one of the county's oldest mazes.
Titanic: Honour & Glory Exhibition at Time and Tide Museum, Great Yarmouth, Sat 1 Apr - Sun 24 Sep 2017, Adults £5.70, Young person £4.55
This is the last week to visit this exhibition in Yarmouth, which explores the history of the Titanic. The exhibition explores the story of the legendary ocean liner, and those of her sister ships and their owners, the White Star Line. The exhibition also reveals the stories of five survivors of the tragedy who come from Norfolk.
Stock Car Racing at Yarmouth Stadium, September 24, 17:30, Adults £17, Child £7
If you're looking for an exciting end to the weekend, head along to Great Yarmouth Stadium for motor racing action. Promising a great atmosphere, you can also choose from three Raceview Bars, a Raceview Diner, a ground floor snack bar & amusement area, plus a fourth separate licensed bar.
Autumnal Wine Tasting, Rooftop Gardens, Norwich, Wed 20 September 2017 6pm-8pm, £35
Hosted by Richard and Eve of Everich Wines, come along to the Rooftop Gardens to taste eight quality, unusual wines from around the world. The tastings will be accompanied by charcuterie/antipasti and a cheese plate. An informal and enjoyable evening, this will be a great chance to meet new people and learn about new wines.
Deepdale Festival at Deepdale Backpackers & Camping, Fri 22 – Sun 24 Sep, Adults £12.50, Children £6.25
The first ever music festival at Deepdale Backpackers & Camping promises a fantastic weekend of music, spoken word, entertainment, stargazing and food and drink. With three stages, a campsite and a secret venue, this festival offers more than 20 acts. The accommodation for the whole weekend is now sold out, but you can still get hold of day tickets - £12.50 for adults and £6.25 for children.
Pirates Weekend at Great Yarmouth Sea Life Centre, Sat 23 - Sun 24 Sep 2017, 10am-4pm, £16.60
The kids may be back at school, but there's still the weekends for family days out. Visit Yarmouth Sea Life Centre for a swashbuckling day out, with visitors transformed into dastardly pirates complete with their own hats. Embark on a search for pirate doubloons in a scavenger hunt throughout the aquarium, with prizes available. Staff will also be holding a 'pirate school', with recruits being invited to take a pirate pledge and protect the seven seas to win a conservation medal.
