February is dedicated to remembering the history of the LGBT+ movement. Here are some events happening around Norfolk and Suffolk to get involved with.

A Fantastic Woman - Tuesday February 13, Cinema City, Norwich. Tickets £8.

A 2017 Chilean drama directed by Sebastian Lelio. It has received international acclaim and was also nominated for an Oscar. Marina (Daniela Vega) plays a transgender woman who is accused of murdering her partner, Orlando (Francisco Reyes). She battles to prove her innocence within a judgemental society and assert herself as a 'fantastic woman'. Tickets availible from the Cinema City website.

LGBT+ History Month at UEA, Norwich

There's something happening nearly everyday at the University of East Anglia for LGBT History Month. From the launch of a brand new literature magazine, The Queer Review, to a pizza social and a gender discussion, the union has made sure to include something for all interests. Across the Kitchen Table - Saturday 3 February, Seagull Theatre, Lowestoft. Tickets £5

This performance features real-life stories of people coming out in a one-off theatre performance. The Access Community Trust has teamed up with Lowestoft-based LGBT youth group BLAH and students from Ormiston Denes Academy to tell these brave stories. More information here.

Parallel Spirals book signing - Tuesday February 27, Norfolk & Norwich Millennium Library. Free.

'What can a secret mermaid, Belgian beguines, Jane Eyre and a modern Norfolk vicar have in common?' Norwich-based Elspeth Rushbrook, author of Parallel Spirals, will be discussing just that and signing copies of her book - a 'subverted Jane Eyre'.

Sharing Stories of Inclusion - Friday February 23, Providence Community Centre, King's Lynn. Free

Hosted by King's Lynn & West Norfolk Pride, this special social event is a chance to mix and mingle with others from the LGBT+ community. There will also be a presentation and guest speakers. For more information contact @KLWNPride on Twitter and Facebook.

Sunday Service at the Octagon Unitarian Chapel - Sunday February 11, Octagon Unitarian Chapel, Norwich. Free

Led by Torry Glinwell, this service will celebrate specifically the transgender experience from a variety of perspectives. The collection will be donated to the Norfolk LGBT+ Project. Ends at midday and refreshments will be provided. More information here.
