The fledgling Norwich City Fans Social Club enjoyed further success on Wednesday night as a fantastic turnout of 26 teams packed the Norfolk Lounge for their inaugural quiz night.
An eclectic mix of football and general knowledge questions delivered by celebrity quizmaster Darren Eadie led to an evening of laughter, entertainment, the odd bit of bewilderment and a keenly fought battle for supremacy.
The event raised £630 for the Community Sports Foundation.
In the end, the spoils stayed at Carrow Road as the team headed up by David McNally ended the night victorious with an impressive score of 84 out of a possible 100. They narrowly fended off the team entered by fans group Forces2Canaries and the innovatively named Gary Penrice, Rice, Baby who chased the Norwich City chief executive team's hard as they finished joint second with 82 points.
A youthful Norwich City players team finished with a respectable 66 points and Kyle Lafferty and Ryan Bennett kindly helped with the prize raffle and winners presentation.
Once again NCFSC are indebted to all of you for your fantastic support and to Norwich City for their continued backing and assistance for our group. The event was a huge success and will have significantly added to the funds we have raised for the Community Sports Foundation, our nominated charity.
Next up is a forum with the management team of Alex Neil, Gary Holt and Frankie McAvoy on December, 9. This exciting opportunity to gain insight into what happens at Colney and beyond is open to all and is priced at £3 for adults and £1 for under 16's, payable on the door.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible there but if, in the meantime, you fancy testing your quiz credentials then the CSF are running their annual fundraising event 'On The Buzzer City' on November 19.
