Adam Lakeland admits he will be choosing from a depleted squad when King’s Lynn return to action on Tuesday night.

Lynn host troubled Farsley Celtic, with the gradual return of top-scorer Jonny Margetts after a lengthy absence one of the rare pieces of good news from the treatment room.

Defender Freddie Sass suffered a recurrence of a glute injury which saw him miss three games on the eve of the weekend trip to Chorley, while there are issues over a quartet of influential midfielders.

“We’ll have to see how many bodies we've got,” admitted Lakeland after Saturday’s defeat at Chorley.

“We're carrying a few niggles and bumps and we've got Freddie back out now, (Josh) Hmami, Tommy Hughes, Cody (Jones) is suspended and Josh McCammon’s had to come off there with his foot.

“So we are a little bit depleted, but what we've done incredibly well this season is, when we've lost, we've bounced back and we've got a home game Tuesday night.

"It will be tough against Farsley but all you can do is try and win your next game, and that's exactly what we'll try to do.”

Margetts came off the bench at Chorley for his first action since injuring his back in the home FA Cup defeat by Curzon Ashton on September 7.

“He wasn't meant to be involved (at Chorley),” said Lakeland. “But Freddie pulled up in training yesterday, a reoccurrence of his injury, which is frustrating for him for us.

“And probably of Josh Hmami and Mags (Margetts) with it not being muscular like Josh is, we thought that he was probably the closest, so it's good to get him back on the pitch.

“We still need to build him up, but we've put ourselves in a really good position and we've had one of the best goal scorers in the league missing for eight weeks today, so it's great for us to have him back.”

Farsley Celtic have problems of a very different kind – installation of their home artificial pitch has hit problems so they have had to play ‘home’ games at a variety of different venues. Their 2-0 ‘home’ defeat to Darlington on Saturday was played at Buxton’s ground.

However, despite the problems, they are a commendable 18th in the table.

“The players feel the weight of this journey, yet they’re still striving, still overcoming obstacles together,” said manager Pav Singh.
