A world-class athlete from Norwich will be "making history" this weekend at a boxing event that has never been done before.

Raven Chapman is the World Boxing Council's current female featherweight champion, reigning with a 9-0 win-to-loss ratio.

She grew up around the city where her passion for the sport grew into a trophy-winning career, competing in venues including the O2 Arena, Manchester Arena and York Hall.

"This is also a historic moment for women's boxing, being the first two females to step onto the ring on a Riyadh season show in Saudi Arabia, so that adds another exciting element."

Raven, 30, who now lives in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, added that the event is a "significant" step towards breaking down barriers and creating new opportunities for women in the sport.

The bout will be streamed live on DAZN at 7pm on Saturday.
