Norwich City kick off their first pre-season tour in Belgium with a clash against Pro League champions Club Brugge this evening.

The Canaries have taken their Championship preparations under Johannes Hoff Thorup overseas and will face Brugge at the Schiervelde Stadion in the neighbouring town of Roeselare on Tuesday evening (6.30pm local time/5.30pm UK time).

It will be the latest opportunity to watch Thorup's preparation in close quarters against a significantly higher calibre of opponent after they began pre-season with a 3-0 victory over League One side Northampton Town at Sixfields on Saturday.

A brace from Jon Rowe and a late tap-in from Ken Aboh got City's new boss off to a winning start, but the tests ramp up a notch in Belgium.

Brugge have recently signed former Norwich winger Christos Tzolis from Fortuna Dusseldorf and the Greek international could be in line to feature against his former club this evening.#

Other familiar names in their squad include ex-Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, ex-Man City defender Dedryck Boyata and Philip Zinckernagel, formerly of Watford and Nottingham Forest.

Brugge are deeper into their pre-season campaign than City having already played two matches - a 1-1 draw with Belgian third-tier side Royal Knokke and the same result against Dutch side PSV.

Marcelino Nunez, Kenny McLean, Grant Hanley and Adam Idah were all part of City's travelling contingent, with Copa America duo Josh Sargent and Jose Cordoba afforded more time to recover after their efforts for their respective countries.

City will face Standard Liege on Saturday as part of their Belgian tour before returning to Carrow Road next week to face Bundesliga Two side Magdeburg before jetting off to Austria for a second camp which will include a game against Hoffenheim.
