King's Lynn Town's summer recruitment drive has continued with the signing of midfielder Josh McCammon.

The 24-year-old joins the Linnets from National League North rivals Peterborough Sports and is Adam Lakeland's seventh addition of the summer as his refresh of the squad continues at pace.

McCammon was ever-present for Peterborough Sports last season, netting six times in 46 matches and will link up with his new team mates ahead of Lynn's return to pre-season training on Monday.

The former Northampton Town academy product, who played 87 times during his spell at Lincoln Road, strengthens Lakeland's midfield options.

McCammon expressed his excitement at the challenge ahead after putting pen to paper on a permanent deal.

“Being a part of this ambitious football club is a real honour," he said. "I’m prepared and ready to give my all for both the team and the fans. Really excited for the journey ahead and the great things we can achieve!”

McCammon is the latest member of Lakeland's refresh at the Walks, and Lynn's boss expressed his delight at capturing a player who has impressed him as an opposing player on multiple occasions.

“I’m delighted that Josh has joined us," Lakeland said. "He’s generally always performed well whenever I’ve either watched him or played against one of my teams, being one of Peterborough Sports’ best and most consistent performers at this level for the past couple of seasons.

"Josh is at a good age yet possesses great experience and brings energy, a turn of pace both with and without the ball, quality and versatility as well as an ability to chip in with goals.

"It’s another addition that makes the group stronger and I look forward to working with him”.
