King's Lynn Town have made their sixth signing of the summer.

As one keeper departed The Walks, another one came in after the club announced the permanent signing of Patrick Boyes from Fleetwood Town.

He will be an instant replacement for Tommy Dixon-Hodge, who has joined Royston Town.

Boyes, 21, has had spells at FC United of Manchester and Hartlepool United, joining up with Fleetwood's development squad in 2023.

"I had plenty of time over the summer to speak to the gaffer," Boyes told Lynn's official channels. "He explained the plan and the goals for the season ahead and it was just something I could not turn down.

"Buzzing to get the deal over the line, and I can't wait to get started."

Lynn boss Adam Lakeland said: "Delighted that Pat has joined us - it was important that we got another goalkeeper on board following the departure of Tommy Dixon-Hodge.

"Pat comes with good pedigree and enjoyed a positive season on loan to FC United of Manchester from Fleetwood Town last season. He'll come in and continue his development working alongside Paul Jones whilst competing for the number one position. I look forward to working with him next season."

Lakeland has enjoyed a fruitful relationship with Fleetwood in the past - he signed Billy Jones and George Morrison on loan last season. Jones impressed before returning early because of injury while Morrison was one of the team's star performers.
