Ross Barrows will miss King's Lynn Town's final game of the season after being recalled by parent club Scunthorpe.
Barrows' initial month's loan was extended to the end of Lynn's National League North campaign.
The nature of the extension of the loan held a 24-hour recall, which the Iron activated earlier this week.
Barrows was expected to be in the squad for Saturday's trip to Spennymoor Town, and his absence will leave Linnets boss Adam Lakeland with a headache as his other right wing-back, Kian Ronan, is out with a shoulder injury.
Barrows played for Scunthorpe in midweek, scoring and providing an assist in a 3-2 Lincolnshire County Senior Cup final win over Spalding United at Lincoln City.
Scunthorpe will finish second in the National League North so, after their final regular season game away to relegated Gloucester City on Saturday, they face a play-off series, starting next weekend with a game against the winners of the match between the teams that finish fifth and sixth.
Lakeland will also be without striker Jonny Margetts after the appeal against his red card against Peterborough Sports last weekend was dismissed.
