Norwich City face the strongest test of the season this evening as they welcome promotion favourites Leicester to Carrow Road.

The Foxes have been widely tipped to bounce straight back to the Premier League and have strengthened significantly over the summer window.

Norwich are hoping that a positive performance will showcase their early-season improvement under David Wagner as they seek to preserve their 100pc Carrow Road record. The Canaries beat Stoke 1-0 on Saturday courtesy of Jack Stacey's first-half strike.

City have the same squad available as was the case for Saturday's game - with Borja Sainz playing 45 minutes for the under-21s in their 2-2 Premier League Cup draw with Wolves last night.

Marcelino Nunez (ankle), Grant Hanley (Achilles) and Jacob Sorensen (groin) remain absent, although the Danish midfielder has tentatively begun training. Onel Hernandez and Adam Forshaw are both set to be involved.

Josh Sargent is sidelined until January with an ankle ligament injury, with South Korean international Hwang Ui-jo making his debut on Saturday.

Dimi Giannoulis, who was substituted in the second half with a quad complaint, has trained and looks to be available for this evening's game.

Leicester have started their season brightly having won five of their opening six matches - including a 4-1 thrashing of Southampton on Friday night.

Maresca's side are yet to hit top gear but possess plenty of quality within their ranks including Jamie Vardy, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Stephy Mavididi, among countless others. They arrive at Carrow Road hoping to leapfrog Ipswich and move back into the top two.

This game serves as a real test for both sides as they seek to maintain their positive starts to the new Championship season.
