King’s Lynn Town owner Stephen Cleeve is to provide a free coach for fans to travel to the rearranged fixture at Brackley Town.
The Linnets were due to play at their National League North rivals on Tuesday night but the game was called off an hour before the scheduled kick-off because of a frozen pitch – although the match passed a pitch inspection earlier in the day.
Many Lynn fans had already arrived at the ground and were furious at the late decision, having made the 97-mile trip to the east Midlands.
Cleeve offered a financial lifeline on his Twitter account on Wednesday.
“Fans are the lifeblood and soul of the game - what happened last night at Brackley was not right for our supporters who spend their time and money backing our team. I am going to pay personally for a coach when the fixture is replayed and free travel will be provided to the game.”
