Wymondham NOT New Year's Day 10K 2023 race report

The Wymondham AC race, which celebrated its 40th anniversary, was won by Saint Edmund Pacers’ runner Jack Nixon, who finished in 32:39. Wymondham AC athlete Aidan Banfield took the runner-up spot in 33:23 with Daniel Middleton finishing third in 33:56.

Kate Murrell took overall victory in the female field after an exciting battle with Wymondham AC’s Harriet Carr on the gently undulating course on the outskirts of Wymondham.  

Tri-Anglia athlete, Murrell, eventually took victory in 38:51 ahead of Carr in 39:10. Juliette Watkinson (Wymondham AC) took third place in 39:22. 

Eva Osborne (Wymondham AC), who competed in the first ever staging of the event, wore the number 1 vest for the event and celebrated her participation by winning the F70+ category in 1:02:17.
