Strictly star Kai Widdrington is hoping to make it a real family affair for King's Lynn Town's big FA Cup clash at home to Stevenage on Saturday.

Widdrington’s dad Tommy is, of course, Lynn’s manager, while brother Theo has had an outstanding season in midfield.

The Linnets have reached the second round of the FA Cup, which is further than Kai and partner Kaye Adams got on Strictly Come Dancing after they became the first couple eliminated from this year's show.

Kai is desperate to be at The Walks to support the team, even though he has to be at the Strictly studio 105 miles away later in the day.

"I hope I can be there even if it's just for the first half and then have to leave for Strictly, which will probably be even more torture because I'll have to watch it in the car on the way there," he told BBC Look East.

"They're right up for it. They're flying in the league and there's great momentum with the boys.

"I'm a fan, I'm willing them on - I've heard there's going to be over 3,500 there and when my dad joined the club there were only 500, so it just shows what a good run, really getting the players together and getting that camaraderie can do."
