Only two matches were played out to their conclusion in the Premier Division, with Cromer registering their first win since returning to the top flight.

Cromer visited North Runcton and Alex Johnson bagged five for 21 as the home side were bowled out for 130.

The visitors lost five wickets in pursuit of their target, but South African Malcolm Cloete saw them to victory with an unbeaten 51.

The other completed match was the west Norfolk derby at Stow, where Downham picked up a winning draw.

Downham were put into bat and half-centuries from Addam Todd (83) and Brenton Wright (54) helped them post 235 for seven. Lloyd Richmond was Stow's most successful bowler, taking four for 68.

Todd followed up his batting display with figures of four for 33, but Ed Landymore (76) defied the visitors as Stow closed on 149 for eight.

Norwich remain top after their game at Vauxhall Mallards A was ended by rain early in the second innings.

Chris Sutton fired 61no from just 32 balls in Norwich's 229 for seven and Mallards were 34 for one when the weather intervened.

Second-placed Sprowston posted 234 for eight at Diss, with Matt Foster hitting 50 and useful contributions from Jon Leverett (48) and skipper Simon Chipperfield (45). Simon Cooper and Chris Cooper took three wickets each for Diss, who did not get the chance to launch a reply as the rain arrived.

It was a similar story at Old Buckenham, where the hosts batted first and made 244 for seven, with half-centuries from Australian Marcus Glenister (68) and Andy Lawrence (54). Visitors Ashmanhaugh & Barton Wanderers had reached 25 without loss when the showers rolled in.

No matches were completed in Division One.

Geoff Handley struck 105 for Acle as they were denied the chance to defend a healthy total against Horsford A.

Swardeston A were well on course to overhaul their target of 117 at Lowestoft, reaching 56 for one when their match was abandoned. Sam Thelwell took five for 14 for Swardeston and Sam Clabburn hit 54 for Lowestoft.

Topcroft's James Goodfellow took four for 34 as Mattishall were bowled out for 88 and Topcroft had responded with 34 for four when the rain arrived.

Rob Panter (86) and John Whitehead (61no) hit half-centuries in Brooke's abandoned game against Bradfield.

Harry Blackiston and Chris Crane fired half-centuries to lead Fakenham A to an eight-wicket victory over Saxlingham in the only completed match in Division Two.

Blackiston (79no) and Crane (53no) featured in an impressive third wicket stand for Fakenham, after David Maskell made 55 for Saxlingham.

Elsewhere, half-centuries from Great Melton's Jason Whiddett (50) and Hethersett & Tas Valley's Robbie Matthews (81) proved in vain as their respective matches were washed out.

In Division Three, Thetford had twin centurions as brothers Liam Conroy (105no) and Ryan Conroy (161no) shared in a massive third wicket stand, but the rain arrived early in the reply of visitors Bungay.

The only completed match in Division Four was at Narborough, where Peter Griffin took four for 64 to help visitors Stow A win by 28 runs.

Jack Noonan struck 104no for Rocklands at Norwich B, but like all Division Five fixtures, the game was not played out to a conclusion.

Three Division Six sides wrapped up an early win before the rain arrived.

Bradenham A beat Diss A by eight wickets with star displays from Steven Watts (four for 14) and Marcus Evans (46no). Beccles A thrashed Dereham A by eight wickets and Old Catton romped to a nine-wicket win at Topcroft A.
