Hockwold's 55-run victory over Castle Rising maintained their seven-point lead at the top of Division One, writes Kevin Fisher.

Carl Smith scored 38, but it was 41 from number 10 batsman Garry Butcher that helped Hockwold post a total of 170 all out. Rising's Paul Hudson took 3-19. Roy Bland took 3-37 before Anthony Ruddick (3-0) mopped up the tail. Anish Thomas (30) top-scored for Castle. Snettisham kept in touch with a nail-biting two-run victory over Sandringham. Snettisham reached 162-5 with Damien Twiddy unbeaten on 31. Sandringham were well placed on 135-5, with 35 from Aaron Nicol and 30 from Marcus Ringwood, yet the last five wickets fell for 25 runs with just eight balls remaining when the last one fell. Kristian Heffer took 3-39.

Batting first, Northwold scored 148 all out with 33 from Ally Drohan. Matthew Castellan took 4-54 and then hit 52 in a failed run chase as David English (4-20) and Jason Plumpton (3-15) helped bowl Hillington to give Northwold victory by 17 runs. Denver batted first and scored 245-7, with 63 from James Harper and an unbeaten 64 from Dan Cornwell. Jim Parker took 4-41 for Heacham. Gary Stockdale scored 33 in Heacham's total of 126 all out with Chris Rolfe taking 3-26 for a 119-run victory.

In the top-of-the table clash in Division Two, Gooderstone batted first and scored an imposing total of 240-7 with Glenn Fossey run out for 96 and Kevin Bandy unbeaten on 58. Peter Crisp scored 43 but Ben Wilkinson picked up 5-25 to see Narborough A dismissed for 177. That 63-run victory kept Gooderstone ahead of Castle Acre – who cruised to an eight-wicket triumph against Holt – by just two points.

Elsewhere, Sandringham A (166 all out) skittled Hospital for 82. An incredible 40 of their runs came from extras.

In Division Three, Gayton stretched their lead at the top to 15 points with a 26-run victory over Snettisham.

Gavin Buffham scored 40, Richard Waterfield 33 and Mark Tilbrook 35 as Gayton made 179 all out. Tim Clarey took 3-17.

Martin Coker took 4-38 and Paul Kennedy 4-26 to help bowl out Snettisham for 153 with Connor Grief scoring a decent 31.
