A lengthy spell of good weather could be coming to an end next week with rain and thunder forecast for Norfolk.

Norwich-based forecaster Weatherquest said the weather is likely to turn on Thursday as temperatures drop.

It warns of heavy showers and thunder across the county, with temperatures around 20C.

But until then, the good weather will mostly continue.

Forecaster Richard Jones said the mercury is expected to soar to 28C today (Sunday, July 15).

Yesterday, meanwhile, saw temperatures reach 27C at Weybourne in North Norfolk.

Mr Jones said a colder front will push through on Monday evening, dropping temperatures to the 'low 20s' by Tuesday.

There is also some risk of showers on Tuesday afternoon.
