Hall Lane in Drayton will be closed in two phases from today as work continues on the Norwich Northern Distributor Road (NDR).
The work, which will cost £75,000, is expected to take five weeks to complete and will involve the construction of chicanes, junction alterations and a mini-roundabout.
Hall Lane will be closed for the first four weeks of the scheme. In the first phase the closure will be from Reepham Road to Drayton Lane. Traffic will be diverted via Drayton lane and Reepham Road.
In the second phase, from March 20, the closure of Hall Lane will be extended to east of Carter Road. At the same time Drayton Lane will be closed between Reepham Road and Hall Lane. Traffic will be diverted via the A1067 Fakenham Road, Fir Covert Road and Reepham Road.
There will also be a three-day closure of Salhouse Road from today and temporary traffic lights on the A140 Cromer Road for one week.
A set of three-way traffic lights were due to be at the junction of Hall Road, Reepham Road and Holly Lane, but that has been delayed until Monday, March 13.
