Essential works have forced the closure of a council-owned swimming pool.
Splash leisure centre, managed by Places for People Leisure on behalf of North Norfolk District Council, remains open during the works which began yesterday (Monday). However, the pool is closed to the public.
The work involves the relining of pipes under the pool to help extend the lifetime of the ageing facility.
Councillor Becky Palmer, Cabinet Member for Leisure at NNDC, said: 'It's vital the District Council ensures maintenance work is carried out so our community facilities can continue to be enjoyed in the longer term. Our customers are aware of the closure of the pool for one week and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. Everything will be open and running as normal from Monday (April 24).'
