Four candidates are to contest a by-election in north Norfolk next month - including two from parties not currently represented on the local authority.
Tony Lumbard, from Ludham (The Conservative Party); Marion Millership, from Sutton (Liberal Democrat); David Russell, from Roughton (Labour Party); and Barry Whitehouse, from Ludham (UKIP) will vie for the Waterside seat on North Norfolk District Council.
They registered their intention to stand before Friday's 4pm deadline.
And voters will go to the polls to elect their choice of candidate on February 9.
Waterside - which covers the parishes of Catfield, Hickling, Ludham, and Potter Heigham - is a two-member ward, with Paul Rice the other councillor representing the area on the district council.
A byelection has been called after previous incumbent Ben Jarvis, of the Conservative Party, was removed from office after failing to attend a single meeting of the district council in six months.
The council is currently made up of 31 Conservatives and 16 Liberal Democrats, who have won the last two council by-elections.
Last week, Mr Russell, the council's former chairman, claimed voters had lost trust in the local authority following a series of controversies amid claims that it was failing to listen to the views of the public.
