Travels With My Father follows Jack as he embarks on the trip of a lifetime with his 77-year-old dad across Southeast Asia.

From Bangkok to Vietnam, the pair travel together partaking in an array of adventures and mishaps, providing many classic comedy moments.

Among the jokes, is a jab at Norfolk and the people who live in the county.

The comment is made by Michael as the duo visits the town of Poipet in Cambodia. Their tour guide tells them that 'Cambodia is like the wild west, especially the town we're going to Poipet, is a bordering town between Thailand and Cambodia, so you've got to be watching out for yourselves.'

To which Whitehall's father responds: 'Bit like going to Norfolk or something like that, full of, kind of, slightly odd people.'

Jack appeared unimpressed with the comments, grimacing and saying 'No it's not'.

Norfolk viewers weren't disheartened by the comments, instead took to Twitter to share their praise of the show, with Vickii Scott tweeting: 'Loved Travels With My Father @jackwhitehall! Even if your dad insulted us Norfolk folk.'

Lucy Sayer added: '@JackWhitehall Hearing Michael compare Cambodia to Norfolk has been the highlight of your series.'
