Staff and parents at an Aylsham school are delighted after it was judged as good by Ofsted.
St Michael's Nursery and Infant School, on Blickling Road, which teaches 143 children aged three to seven was inspected by the education watchdog on November 6 and 7.
It was rated as outstanding for behaviour and safety of pupils and good for leadership and management, quality of teaching, achievement of pupils and early years provision.
Headteacher Catherine McMahon said: 'We are delighted. I am particularly pleased that the inspector recognised that our whole school community has clear aims and values that place the individual child at the centre of our work.'
The report said the school's above average standards were down to Mrs McMahon's 'relentless drive for improvement', pupils loved coming to school and a key factor to the students' outstanding behaviour was the forest school outdoor sessions.
It was rated as good by Ofsted in 2010.
