Pupils face starting the new school year without their uniforms because a Norwich schoolwear shop is struggling to cope with demand.
The Schoolwear Centre in Ber Street says it won't be able to fulfil all its orders before the start of term next week.
A statement on the shop's website said: 'Please note that with regret we now cannot 100pc guarantee orders in time for September as there are long delays online and in store.
'Orders are taking an average of three to four weeks to complete.'
The shop supplies 65 schools around the county.
Benjamin Jeckell, a parent who has been affected by the uniform shortage, said: 'School parents have been let down by the allocated uniform shop as lots of parents have not received there uniform orders which were placed well before summer break ready for when the children start their new adventures into bigger schools, or just going back, which in itself is stressful enough.
'So to summarise, lots of children are going to school unequipped, despite parents' best efforts physically, mentally, emotionally and financially.'
