Hundreds are expected to dust off their old blazers for a reunion at a former King's Lynn grammar school, with invites sent to ex-pupils Michael Caine and Lucy Verasamy.
Andrew Stephen, a former boarder of the all-boys King Edward VII Grammar School from 1964 to 1971, is organising a sixties-themed reunion for ex-pupils who may have never returned to the school since leaving more than 50 years ago.
The event, planned for Saturday, June 17, will feature music, tours of the school, a hog roast provided by Priors of West Lynn and Dersingham and a pay-as-you-go bar.
The occasion is not strictly reserved for older students, as a special invitation has been sent out to ITV weather forecaster Lucy Verasamy, who attended the school in the late 1990s.
Mr Stephen said: 'Several of Lucy Verasamy's family are on a Facebook page, one of them saw the invite and said they'll see what they can do.'
Oscar-winning actor Michael Caine, who lived in North Runcton and attended the school during his time as a child evacuee in the Second World War, has also been sent an invite.
So far, the reunion has attracted over 90 confirmed attendees. Partners of pupils are welcome to join the weekend event, which will run from 2.30pm to 6.30pm.
Mr Stephen, who is also a trustee of the school, said the reunion is designed to be a little less formal than previous events.
He hopes the reunion will revive an interest in the Old Lennensian Association, a platform for alumni and former staff who regularly make contributions to the school.
He said: 'Because we all tend to be relatively elderly a lot of our previous events have been formal and fairly strict.
'People are often surprised or wary of the past but a lot of people coming to it have never been back before.
'It's terrific, I'm really glad I gave it a whirl.'
Principal of KES Academy, Craig Morrison, has been a strong supporter of the Old Lennensians and is eager to promote links between today's school and its wonderful tradition.
Entry cost is £12 per person and the deadline for ticket application is June 1.
Cheques should be made out to The Old Lennensians Association and sent to Andrew Stephen, KES Academy, Gaywood Rd, King's Lynn, PE30 2QB.
