Police and ambulance crews were scrambled to the city centre to deal with a medical incident.
Officers were called to an area close to Normandie Tower on Rouen Road in Norwich on Monday afternoon.
Norfolk Police confirmed that they were called at 12.55pm, and that the ambulance service was also called to the scene after it was reported that a man had collapsed.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “An ambulance and rapid response vehicle attended a medical emergency on Rouen Road in Norwich shortly after 1.00pm today.
“The patient was transported to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.”
