Norfolk-based car dealership Busseys is expanding its Peugeot dealership network beyond Norwich with the opening of a new site in Dereham.
The EDP Top 100 company said the move builds on the five year relationship the firm has developed with the French car maker after successfully running a Peugeot franchise at Hall Road in Norwich.
The family-run firm, which has been selling cars in Norfolk for more than 90 years, is well known as locally for its Ford dealerships.
And it has currently completed work to transform its Whiffler Road showroom into a flagship FordStore.
Busseys has operated in the mid-Norfolk town as a Ford dealer since 1996 and Dereham has recently become an authorised Peugeot repair centre.
But it said there was a demand for another Peugeot dealership in the county and Dereham was identified as the perfect place to expand to, because it was a convenient and modern facility. The firm said it will be looking to upgrade to full Peugeot dealer status in early 2016.
Paul Bussey, marketing director, said: 'After five years representing Peugeot in Norwich we recognised that consumers in Dereham and the county beyond were in need of a convenient local dealership and our site at Dereham presented the perfect opportunity to provide it. With an ever more exciting product line up the Peugeot brand is appealing to a wider and wider audience and we are delighted to be able to offer this.'
