Norfolk County Council has officially elected Bill Borrett as its new leader.
The vote took place this morning at a full council meeting.
It follows the selection of Mr Borrett, who represents Elmham and Mattishall, as the county council chairman of the Conservative group last week.
Of a total of 50 councillors voting today, 42 voted in favour of Mr Borrett, six voted against and two abstained.
