A national cake chain has put up signs on an empty city centre shop.
Cake Inn could soon be opening in Prince of Wales Road as the chain's branding has been spotted on a former barber's.
The company has nearly 30 stores nationwide, the nearest of which is in Peterborough.
Not only can customers purchase fresh cream cakes and cupcakes from the brand, but also balloons, candles and banners for celebrations.
Cake Inn was first founded in Wellingborough in Northamptonshire.
The shop specialises in egg-free and vegetarian cakes, due to the growing demand for sweet treats appropriate for those who follow strict vegetarian and egg-free diets.

Customers will also be able to benefit from delivery within two hours of ordering.
The shop used to be GT's Male Hair Design but this closed several years ago.
Tattoo shop Crow Temple Tattoo, which occupies the shop above, has recently been granted permission by Norwich City Council to paint the building red.
Cake Inn was contacted for further information.
