Business owners and members of the public have voiced their thoughts on the future of Anglia Square, as City Hall looks to buy the complex.
Norwich City Council leader Mike Stonard said in October that the authority still wishes to acquire the venerated square, even after plans to revitalise it with houses, offices and restaurants fell through.
It has since formally applied to the government agency Homes England to work collaboratively on buying and developing it regardless, as well as to gather the necessary funds to do so.
As the project rumbles on in the background, Anglia Square business owners and shoppers have put in their two cents on the takeover.
Denzil Dean, the owner of Caracol Books, said: "I would hope that Norwich City Council will take all of the businesses that exist here into consideration."
And Gary Ewing, who works in Sirplus Trading, said: "Hopefully if the council purchase it and invests some money in it, it will come back to what it was originally."
