A number of businesses in the region have been fined thousands of pounds for employing illegal workers.
They have all been listed in the government's quarterly round-up of companies issued penalties for the use of illegal workers.
According to the data, which is updated every three months, the seven businesses caught in Norfolk and Suffolk owe between £10,000 and £180,000 each.
The businesses fined include car washes, Chinese and Indian restaurants and a home care and errand service.
The latest data from the Home Office relates to the period of April 1 to June 30, 2024.
The seven businesses that have been fined are:
Norfolk
- £30,000 - Spice Inn - 2 London Road, King’s Lynn, Norfolk
- £10,000 - Errand Plus and Personal Services Ltd - Arkitech House, 35 Whiffler Road, Norwich, Norfolk
Suffolk
- £180,000 - Fiveways Car Wash - Barton Mills, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
- £120,000 - China Inn - 1 Station Road, Stour House, Haverhill, Suffolk
- £40,000 - Stowmarket Station Hand Car Wash - Charringtons Yard, Station Road East, Stowmarket, Suffolk
- £20,000 - Eric Professional Hand Car Wash - Old Station Yard, Derby Road, Ipswich, Suffolk
- £15,000 - Jilani - 58-59 North Street, Sudbury, Suffolk
