The Anglia One air ambulance crew was then called to fly in and assist those already at the scene.
A spokeswoman for the East Anglian Air Ambulance said: "Doctor Meghan and critical care paramedic Nigel gave the patient a full assessment and provided enhanced pre-hospital care, including administering advanced pain relief, at the scene."
The air ambulance crew then travelled with the patient by land ambulance to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further treatment.
