New signage is set to be installed at a Norfolk accident blackspot.

The improvement works will be carried out at the A146 Loddon roundabout following a spate of crashes in the area.

The roundabout opened nearly three years ago but crumpled cars have become a common sight on the side of the road in recent months.

New signs will now be fitted in order to improve the visibility of the roundabout and prevent future crashes.

Several accidents have been reported in the area throughout the year and this compelled Kay Mason Billig, leader of Norfolk County Council and a Loddon local, to launch an investigation.

Discussions with Norfolk Police identified "no obvious common denominators" for these incidents with reasons ranging from drivers falling asleep at the wheel, going too fast and failing to notice the roundabout signs.
