A 19th century village school near the King's country retreat which later became a home is set for repairs and alterations.
A couple named in planning papers as Mr and Mrs Davis have applied to carry out the work on the former village school at Great Bircham, on the edge of the Sandringham Estate.
It includes repairs to the roof, demolishing a lean-to utility room which was formerly a cloakroom, along with a former brick toilet block in what is now the garden.
The proposals also include the construction of a timber frame double garage, with black timber cladding and red clay pantiles.
A planning statement says it is believed that the main body of the building was constructed as a school in 1842, with various additions at later unknown dates.
The property on Lynn Road, now known as Upgate, was converted into a home in 1979.
