Police are searching for witnesses after a cyclist was rushed to hospital following a hit-and-run incident involving a lorry on a rural road 

Andrew Dack was riding his bike outside Lingwood before a lorry is said to have pulled out in front of him without looking.

Police officers were called at around 11.30am on November 26 to reports of a collision in Coxhill Road.

Andrew Dack at the hospital following the incident (Image: Andie Brown) Once the ambulance had arrived at the scene Mr Dack was found on the floor in a hypothermic state and was quickly taken to hospital to recover.

The lorry driver did stop at the scene but failed to provide any contact details before driving off.

Mr Dack was taken to the James Paget University Hospital for checks but has since been discharged.

Officers are asking the lorry driver to make contact, and are also appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
