Construction has started on 25 energy-efficient family homes in Taverham.
These form the second phase of a site that has already delivered 93 new homes, three public open spaces, and a woodland area.
The new homes are welcomed in Taverham, with no objections to the planning application, and approved by Broadland Council’s planning committee.
The homes have a high sustainability specification, boasting an EPC rating of 'A', the highest band, putting them in the top 3pc nationally for energy efficiency.

They will have solar photovoltaic panels, triple glazing, and ground floor underfloor heating.
They will also come with 'A' rated appliances, air source heat pumps, electric car charging points, garages with electric doors, BT fibre broadband, and complete floor coverings.
Paul LeGrice, managing director of Abel Homes, said: “Taverham is a very sought-after place to live, with a vibrant sense of community, easy access to the city centre, and yet lovely countryside adjacent to the village."
The first of the new homes will be available from January 2025, with registration of interest open on the Abel Homes website.
