Fears have been raised over traffic and noise pollution after a new bid for three self-build properties in a south Norfolk village was made.

R Forman has submitted the application for the new homes adjacent to Bergh Apton's village hall in Cooke's Road to South Norfolk Council.

Designed by Agora Architects, the homes would have four or more bedrooms each and it is proposed there will be nine new car parking spaces.

They would also include photovoltaic and water-heating solar panels, air source heating systems with underfloor heating, rainwater harvesting systems, integrated bat boxes, bird boxes, and bee bricks.

The site is currently an unused field.

But neighbours have already begun to share their objections to the proposal.

One comment is concerned that the road is already "narrow and busy" which will be exacerbated with additional traffic, "posing safety risks to residents, particularly children and the elderly".

It adds: "The increased traffic and noise pollution will negatively impact the quality of life for local residents".
