Campaigners have expressed anger over proposals to move a Post Office away from a historic High Street.
A consultation - which continues until next week - is proposing that the North Lowestoft Post Office moves around 300m away to a new location.
The plans could see the post office - which has served generations as it dates back around a century - move into one of the town's longest-standing bakeries.
In October Post Office announced proposals to move North Lowestoft Post Office to Bushells Bakery on Tennyson Road, Lowestoft - with the new site undergoing a full refurbishment and staying open for longer.
It said: "Our North Lowestoft Post Office located on the High Street has been operated by a temporary postmaster.
"We're pleased that a new permanent operator has been appointed who has identified an alternative location to operate North Lowestoft Post Office."
With any relocation to take place in the new year, locals can have their say up until next Thursday, December 5 online via postofficeviews.co.uk using the branch code 460136, by emailing comments@postoffice.co.uk, by post to Freepost YOUR COMMENTS, or call 03452 66 01 15.
However, the Most Easterly Community Group said plans to move the North Lowestoft Post Office were "flawed and irresponsible".
Opponents said there has been a post office branch on the High Street for at least 110 years - with the current branch having been in it's present location for at least 35 years - as it urged people to register their views in the consultation and sign a local petition.
With the group "mounting a campaign to persuade Post Office Ltd that this is a flawed and irresponsible plan", a spokesman said: "This move should be stopped.
"Millions are being invested in the transformation of the old Town Hall – a mere 50 metres away.
"The North Lowestoft Heritage Action Zone (HAZ) has invested hundreds of thousands of pounds in renovating historic shopfronts.
"It makes no sense whatsoever in uprooting a well-used service."
You can sign the petition at Uncle Sid's Zero Waste Store, Lowestoft Ceramic Studios, The Mayfly coffee shop and the North Lowestoft Post Office - all in the town's High Street.
