A hair salon on the outskirts of the city has been named a finalist for a national award less than a month after its launch.

Rovella Hair and Co opened in  in The Square, Thorpe Marriott, on November 2.

It was founded by pals Jessica Lefevre, 29, from Sprowston, and Ieva Russka, 26, from Wymondham, who met at their previous place of work and became close while travelling back and forth to London as part of their masters degree course.

They shared a dream of working for themselves and they spent weeks refurbishing their new premises to make it look like their initial vision.

Just weeks after welcoming its first clients, Rovella has been named as a finalist in the Hair and Beauty Awards' Best New Salon category for 2025.

This means they are among just 50 people shortlisted out of thousands of entries.

"We’re honestly completely overwhelmed and so excited," Ms Lefevre exclaimed.

"Our little business totally has our hearts."

The winners will be revealed at a red carpet ceremony in Manchester next year.
