A key meeting that will decide the fate of a controversial development has been postponed 24 hours before it was due to take place.
People concerned about the proposal to build 55 homes on farmland in Ormesby St Margaret had been gearing up to attend the Great Yarmouth Borough Council development committee meeting today.
The bid by the housing association Flagship has led to the council being flooded with 400 letters of objections amid concerns it will cause too much traffic and pressure on services.

But villagers will now have to wait two weeks before a decision is made after a malfunctioning lift forced the authority to push the meeting back.
Michaela Smith-Moore, marketing and engagement manager at the council, said: "The meeting has been rescheduled due to a lift being out of order, preventing access for all attendees.
"The council apologises for any inconvenience caused.
An alternative venue could not be found in time, as the council is required by law to give at least five days notice of any change in venue.
The development committee will now meet on Wednesday, December 11 to vote on the scheme.
