An air ambulance was seen landing in a park on the outskirts of the city.
Police, ambulance and air ambulance crews were called to the recreation ground in Longwater Lane, Costessey, at around 8am today.
They had received reports concerned for the safety of an individual.
A spokeswoman for the ambulance service confirmed one woman suffered a cardiac arrest and was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further care.
