Castlemeadow Care
Castlemeadow Care, a leading Norfolk and Suffolk assisted and independent living specialist, is celebrating its 25th anniversary today, with a reception at St John’s House in Norwich – a care home that’s rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Castlemeadow Care is proud to be a family-owned and family-run specialist care provider. Its 400-strong team deliver high quality, holistic and person-centred care for every one of its residents.
Founded by Dr Sanjay Kaushal and his wife Sonya, its care philosophy is to create communities where special moments are enjoyed every day.
As a GP, Dr Kaushal’s medical experiences, both in the hospital and community setting, have resulted in a great passion and desire to deliver innovative care models and projects that meet the health challenges faced today.
With demand for assisted and independent living accommodation continuing to increase in Norfolk and Suffolk, Castlemeadow Care has ambitious expansion plans to create new later living communities for both residential and dementia care and independent living villages.
A decision on the former Brenntag site at Attleborough is expected shortly and includes the development of a 60-bed care home, 60 extra-care apartments and 50 extra-care bungalows.
“Since 1999, our vision has been to create assisted and independent living communities which provide joyful places to live for our residents, and joyful places to work for our dedicated care teams,” said Dr Kaushal.
“Our exciting plans for the Brenntag site at Attleborough will see the creation of a new Castlemeadow Care community of care and independent living accommodation. We remain committed to providing high quality and stimulating surroundings for people in later life, and meaningful and valued employment for local people.”
Castlemeadow Care operates six residential, residential dementia and nursing care homes at Norwich, Long Stratton, Swanton Morley, North Wootton, Swaffham and Halesworth, as well as an independent living village at Woodgate Park, near Dereham, and the Woodgate Park homecare service.
