A man has been remanded in custody accused of blackmailing his own mother and smashing up the family home.
Karl Yallop, 31, from Costessey, was denied bail at Norwich Magistrates’ Court after appearing charged with demanding money with menaces and criminal damage following an incident on October 9.
Prosecutor Josephine Jones said it had allegedly occurred when he was on bail and “clearly not welcome at the family home”.
Yallop did not enter pleas pending a hearing at Norwich Crown Court on December 23.
