A poultry farm has been given the go-ahead for two new chicken sheds that will boost production to 3m birds a year.
Newcome Baker Farms has been given planning permission for the extra buildings at Whin Close Farm at Sedgeford, near Hunstanton.
It currently operates eight sheds on the site, off the B1454 Docking Road, producing 2.4m chickens a year.
The business said in a planning statement that the two new 90m x 20m buildings would increase numbers to 3m a year, with 380,000 birds housed on the farm at a time.
It added: "The relatively isolated location of the site has been chosen in order to avoid adverse amenity impacts due to noise and smell emissions."
Sedgeford Parish Council supported the plans, which attracted one supporting comment on West Norfolk council's planning portal.
"Natural expansion to well-sited business and all infrastructure in place," it said. "Produces food and provides employment locally."
