A TV star who is switching on the Christmas lights at a Norfolk bar and restaurant this week has been injured on holiday.

Mark Wright, who first found fame on reality show The Only Way is Essex (TOWIE), recalled the incident on his Instagram story on Monday.

He had a large scar across his forehead as he addressed his 1.9 million followers while on a flight back to London from Las Vegas.

He said: "Another year done. F1 in Vegas. What an experience.

"I am coming home with a little scar.

"For those that are asking on my Instagram, I fell in the bathroom. I wasn't drunk.

It was in the middle of the night, half asleep. Needed a few stitches but I'm all good, absolutely fine."

He also shared a post by Steve Weiser, the Las Vegas Bureau Chief at Extra TV, which said he needed more than 30 stitches.

Wright is still scheduled to switch on the lights on Wednesday, November 27 at The White Horse in East Runton, near Cromer.

The entertainment starts at 4pm and it has just been announced that fellow TOWIE star and singer James Argent will be performing at the event.
