A city restaurant has been named among the country's cosiest spots for eating out on a cold winter night in the Good Food Guide.
The publication was founded in 1951 and has become one of the most reputable places for people to find recommendations for British restaurants, pubs, hotels and cafes.
Now the guide has ranked Brix & Bones - above Gonzo's Tearooms in London Street, Norwich - as one of the top 20 best restaurants "that relish the glow of hospitality by candlelight."

The restaurant is owned by siblings Brad and Mike Baxter and is known for its open kitchen and warming 'over the coals' style of cooking including steaks, chops, venison and whole fish.
The Good Food Guide praised the eatery for its "expert, generous open-fire cooking, the sort that also requires leathery aprons, muted lighting, cracking drinks, and a pacey soundtrack."
Spotlighted menu offerings include "sweet slow-cooked lamb, anchovy, mustard crumb, tempura shallots and pickled grapes" as well as "B&B's bone-marrow fudge doughnuts".
Brix & Bones was also featured in The Good Food Guide's list of the top six restaurants in Norwich earlier this year.
