A town's leisure centre pool will be closed for a week to repair defective fittings.
Dereham Leisure Centre announced on Thursday, November 21, it would be closing its swimming pool for "precautionary safety reasons" to carry out work to "internal fixings in the roof void".
A spokesman for Dereham Leisure Centre said: "Following an emergency light fitting located in the pool hall ceiling void becoming defective further investigations noted that deterioration was evident on other fittings within the pool hall.
"The requirement for access equipment alongside parts which were not immediately available has meant we currently expect to be able to reopen the swimming pool as from next Thursday."
The facility is expected to reopen on Thursday, November 28, but the centre will advise accordingly if it is able to open earlier.

A spokesman for Dereham Leisure Centre said in the Facebook post: "We apologise for the inconvenience caused.
"However, customer and staff safety must take priority."
Breckland District Council, which owns the facility, has been approached for comment.
