An owner of two puppies has issued a cycling safety warning after one of her dogs was "run over" by a woman on a bike.
Jane Freeman, 64, who lives in Dereham, was out walking her two Shih Tzus - Scooby and ChiChi - on Wednesday morning on a footpath near the town's allotments.
Both her dogs were walking with extension leads attached and Miss Freeman described one of them, Scooby, as "a bit of a handful".

She said: "But out of nowhere, a woman on a bike ran him over."
Miss Freeman said the cyclist argued that six-month-old Scooby had ran out in front of her, while Miss Freeman says the cyclist had not rung her bell.
Although neither Scooby nor cyclist were injured, the former appeared to be shocked by the incident.
Miss Freeman said: "He was very bouncy as if to say 'what just happened?' But he is a very resilient little thing and is thankfully fine."

Since the event, Miss Freeman is concerned about the number of cyclists in the area who do not alert pedestrians and dog-walkers to their presence.
"About 75pc of the cyclists don't ring their bells or at least yell, but can you imagine if we behaved like that as drivers?"
Miss Freeman empathises with the cyclists and supports their exercise regime but is asking for them to be cautious when cycling near people and their pets.

She said: "We are always in fear these bikes come hurtling along.
"Just let us know. This whole incident could have been avoided if she had just rung her bell," she added.
Miss Freeman is grateful for Dereham's dog community who have continued to be supportive.
She said: "My Scooby and ChiChi are my absolute universe and the dog community here are so special. They support and share our little furry friends and we know each other so well."
