A bid to open a field up for villagers to walk their dogs has been refused.
The Gayton Estate applied for planning permission to change the use of part of the site off East Walton Road, on the outskirts of the village.
But West Norfolk Council has turned down the scheme, after a planning officer's report said there was insufficient information to approve it.

It added: "The submitted information has failed to clearly demonstrate the intended frequency and number of visitors at any one time to an extent that would allow detailed consideration of the highway safety implications of the development."
The plans included a new access track, footpath and access gate, while the entire site would have been surrounded by new fencing.
A noise mitigation plan was also submitted, which said there would be "zero tolerance to nuisance barking" and noisy dogs would be excluded from the site.
