Traffic came to a standstill on the A47 this morning after two swans obstructed a roundabout. 

Police were called to the Acle Straight just outside Acle, near Great Yarmouth, at 8.15am today following reports of the swans blocking the road.

Once officers arrived at the scene they were able to successfully escort the pair from the highway. 

A spokeswoman for Norfolk Police confirmed that both swans had not been injured during the ordeal. 

The road was clear with traffic moving freely again by 9am.
