A cashpoint on a busy market square is set to be removed as a building society closes its town centre branch.
The Halifax has previously announced the closure of its branch on Wisbech Market Place on January 22.
Now Lloyds Banking Group has applied for planning permission to remove the cash machine from the front of the grade II listed building.
It says in a planning statement there will be "a minor change" to its appearance including the removal of signage and branding.

It adds: "Proposed works are limited to making good of the redundant aperture following the removal of the ATM machine.
"The works to the exterior of the building are intended where practically possible to return the building back to its natural state, keeping all original features intact and remain unaffected by the proposed works."
Halifax said of the closure: "Most customers are now using our mobile banking app, online banking or calling us instead.
“This means they are using branches, including our Wisbech branch, much less."
