As temperatures drop and energy costs rise, Athena Care Homes in King's Lynn are launching their Winter Warmer Scheme for the second year.
This initiative offers residents surrounding Goodwins Hall and Amberley Hall a free soup and roll in November and December.
The Winter Warmer Scheme, started last year, is aimed at community support.
Athena's care homes in Cambridge, King's Lynn, Ipswich, Peterborough, and March are all participating.
Some offer the hot snack every day, while others have Winter Warmer special afternoons.
The initiative is not limited to senior citizens.
Athena Care Homes wants to extend its support to anyone who needs it.
A spokesman said: "As the weather gets colder, we hope this simple gesture of providing a warm, safe space and a hot meal will make a difference in the lives of those who may need it most.
"Winter can be a particularly hard time for many, and we want to be there for those who might be feeling the cold or isolation.
"Our doors are open, and we’re offering not just a hot meal but also a friendly face and a place to warm up.”
The Winter Warmer Scheme also aims to foster social connections during the isolating winter season.
At Goodwins Hall in Goodwins Road, soup and roll are available between 3pm and 6pm, Monday to Friday.
At Amberley Hall, the offer stands every weekday from 2pm until 4pm.
